The theme of the shoot was based around “Gypsy Witches” .   This shoot was a friends idea, so she was the art directer, and a friend of hers who goes to the Art Institute of Miami took the photos.    It was fun to set up the blankets and the fabrics.  We were in the middle of the Everglades where there were a lot of burnt looking trees and open land.

The story behind the shoot is about two young people who are in love and are reading eachother tarot cards and just hanging out together in the middle of the woods.  Young gypsy love are some of the words that come to mind when I see the photos.

Essi, the male model was really nice.  We didn’t know eachother before the day of the shoot so we both didn’t know what to expect.  The hours that we all spent in the woods together didn’t feel all too much like a shoot when we all started to feel the flow of the camera and the set.  There was relaxing music playing for us to listen to, and it started to feel like our own hangout spot once we were all comfortable with what was going on.  This was my first shoot that I modeled with another person so I feel that I learned a little bit from this shoot about modeling and posing with another model.  I also learend a little bit about the lifestyle of Tarot Cardreaders.  It’s interesting.  During the shoot when we were posing with the cards and getting into character I would read random cards that I picked up and the meanings are so deap and intruiging to connect with your life.  Fun stuff!
